Mayville Food Pantry Adds Saturday Hours
MAYVILLE – The Mayville Food Pantry (St. Paul's Episcopal Food Pantry), 99 S. Erie St., Mayville, in the Cheryl Steinbach Outreach Center, is adding additional open hours. The first Saturday hours will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, and Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Additional days may be available depending on need, beginning in November. The additional hours are being offered to assist those families who, because of work obligations, are unable to come to the pantry during the regular pantry open hours. The regular pantry open days and hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., closing for major holidays and when the school closes for inclement weather. Those coming for assistance should bring identification for all members of the household and residency proof. The Mayville Food Pantry serves those residing within the Chautauqua Lake Central School District. Assistance is based on income guidelines, starting with a gross annual income of $35,910 or less for a household of one, with increasing annual income guidelines for additional household sizes. St. Luke's Thrift Shop Offers Summer Items Half-Price
St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., Jamestown, between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, is offering all summer clothing, shoes and purses for half-price. All departments are still well stocked. All proceeds are used for outreach in the local community.
Struthers Library Theatre To Host Aerosmith Tribute Friday
WARREN – Draw the Line will bring its Aerosmith tribute to the Struthers Library Theatre at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4. Established in 1991, Draw the Line has been touring for more than 30 years spanning the continental United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe. Draw the Line features lead vocalist, Neill Byrnes, who won a Steven Tyler lookalike contest during Aerosmith's Pump tour, which kickstarted his more than 30-year career performing as Steven Tyler. Falconer Moves Labor Day Garbage Pickup Back
FALCONER -- Due to the Labor Day holiday, garbage pickup in the village of Falconer is scheduled for Wednesday. Residents are asked to refrain from putting trash and articles to the curb until Tuesday evening.
