Reg Lenna To Screen ‘Minions & Monsters’ Friday, Saturday
Minions & Monsters, showing at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday is the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created. Minions & Monsters is rated PG and is 89 minutes long. Upcoming movies at The Reg include: The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Oct. 30 at 10 p.m.) and Cat Video Fest 2026 (Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.). Tickets for most Movies at The Reg are $8 in-person at the box office and $10 online (reglenna.com) and by phone at 716-484-7070. Family showings are $7 in-person at the box office and $9 online and by phone. Special engagements are priced differently. The theater and box office at The Reg are located at 116 E. Third St., Jamestown. The box office is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and one hour before movies and events.
Hazardous waste collection Saturday
FALCONER -- Chautauqua County's Department of Public Facilities (DPF) Division of Solid Waste is inviting residents to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste during a special collection event on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chautauqua County Department of Public Facilities, 454 North Work Street in Falconer. This free service is open to households only. Commercial businesses are not permitted to participate. Residents can bring a variety of hazardous household materials for safe disposal, including: Used antifreeze, Fluorescent tube lights, Flammable adhesives and solvents, Paint thinner and mineral spirits, Deck cleaners, Pool chemicals, Non-empty aerosol cans, Herbicides and pesticides, Chemistry sets and flammable floor polish, Latex and oil-based paint. To participate, residents must complete a registration form listing the materials they plan to drop off. Registration forms are available online at chautauquacountyny.gov/landfill/hazardous-waste-collection-schedules and will also be available at the event. A complete list of accepted materials is included on the form. For questions or more information about the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day and accepted materials, contact the Solid Waste Analyst's Office at 716-661-8424. This is the second and final Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day scheduled in Chautauqua County during 2026. The first event took place in June at the City of Dunkirk Department of Public Works.
Prendergast Library To Host All-Ages Crafting Sept. 5
The James Prendergast Library offers drop-in crafting for all ages in the front lobby from 2:15 to 3:45 p.m. Saturday Sept. 5, to make a beeswax candle. North Harmony Accepting Letters Of Interest For Board Position
The town of North Harmony is accepting applications from those interested in serving on the North Harmony Town Board until Dec. 31, 2027. The position became vacant with the recent resignation of Robert Yates, longtime town supervisor. Yates had been the town's supervisor for the past 13 years. Louise Ortman, deputy town supervisor, will serve as the supervisor for the remainder of Yates' term. An election will be held in November 2027, with the winner of the election taking office on Jan. 1, 2028. Those with interest can submit a letter of interest to the North Harmony Town Clerk, Town of North Harmony, 5350 Stow Road, Ashville, NY 14710 or email the letter to townclerk@townofnorthharmony.gov.
