Bemus Point To Host Zoning Code Update Open House
BEMUS POINT – The village of Bemus Point is updating its Zoning Code and will host an open house from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Village Casino, 1 Lakeside Drive, Bemus Point, so the public can see the draft update, learn what’s changing and share thoughts on how it addresses the future of the community. Building on input from the first public meeting and the community survey, the update reflects modern needs and local priorities. Falconer Time Capsule Items Accepted Until Sept. 30
FALCONER – The Falconer Time Capsule Committee is still accepting donations from residents, families, businesses, organizations, churches, schools and other community groups that would like to be represented. The deadline to submit items for the new time capsule is Sept. 30, 2026. Donations may be dropped off at the Falconer Community Building, 101 W. Main St., Falconer. Anyone with questions or wishing to make arrangements for a donation may contact the Falconer village offices at 716-665-4400.
Prendergast Library Summer Reading Program Ends Aug. 29
The James Prendergast Library will host its summer reading program finale on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the library patio with a Dino Waffle Party and Dino Trivia. Add fruits and toppings to make an edible dino friend. There will also be outdoor games and family-friendly dinosaur trivia. Finale prize winners will also be announced. There is no cost to attend this program. Registration is recommended as supplies may be limited by calling the library's Information Desk at 716-484-7135, ext. 2226. Bethlehem Lutheran Church To Host Chicken Barbecue Aug. 27
FALCONER – Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Falconer will be hosting its third annual take-out chicken barbecue on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 4:30 p.m. until sold out. The church is located at 20 N. Phetteplace St , Falconer. Presale orders are preferred by calling the church office at 716-665-2102 to purchase a ticket. Tickets are $15. Tickets purchase a half chicken, macaroni salad, applesauce, roll and dessert. The proceeds will go to the church Mission Fund.
Jamestown Zoning Board Of Appeals Cancels September Meeting
