Allen Park Band Shell Concerts Continue Tonight
“All Good Things” will be this week’s Allen Park Concert Series theme. It is a mix of all genres of music. The free concert is at the Gorenson Bandshell in Allen Park with the Jamestown Municipal Band playing Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. The Allen Park Women’s Club runs the concession stand featuring hot dogs, popcorn, penny candy and their famous homemade fudge. There also will be a drive-through chicken barbecue from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the park with tickets available at the concession stand.
Senator Borrello To Hold Town Hall Meeting Today iN Hanover
HANOVER – State Sen. George Borrello, R-Sunset Bay, will host a town hall meeting in Hanover today, Aug. 12, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Hanover Town Hall building, 68 Hanover St., Silver Creek. The event will give area residents an opportunity to ask questions, share their concerns and hear updates on state policies, legislation and other developments in Albany affecting Western New York. "Town Hall meetings are a great opportunity to keep residents informed about what is happening in Albany and the issues and decisions that could impact our communities," Borrello said. "Just as importantly, they give me the chance to hear directly from the people I represent, answer their questions and learn more about the concerns that matter most to them. I encourage area residents to join us and be part of the conversation." The meeting is open to anyone and no registration is required.
Ashville UMC To Present Concert Sunday
ASHVILLE – The Ashville United Methodist Church, 2180 N Maple St., Ashville, is presenting a concert by the Jamestown Harmony Express Chorus at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16. An offering will be taken. Refreshments will follow the performance.
Antique Automobile Club To Host Coffee & Cars Saturday
The Chautauqua Lake Region Club of the Antique Automobile Club of America will host Coffee & Cars, gathering at the gazebo at McCrea Point in Jamestown from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, rain or shine. Those interested can talk with car enthusiasts, see interesting vehicles and have coffee, donuts and conversation. The public is invited. All car enthusiasts are welcome.
Norden Women's Club To Host Member-Guest Dinner Aug. 27
CELORON – The Norden Women's Club will host a member-guest dinner on Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel's Park Room, 10 Dunham Ave., Celoron. The social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m. The program, Swedish Genealogy, will be presented by member Karen E. Livsey, editor-in-chief of Swedish American Genealogist.
