Harley Davidson To Host Red Cross Blood Drive Aug. 13

FALCONER – The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 13 at Harley Davidson of Jamestown Inc., 1951 E Main St., Falconer. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Christian Women's Group To Meet Aug. 11

RUSSELL – The Jamestown-Warren Christian Women hosted Donna Hart at its July meeting. Hart spoke on “Living Sacrifice” and how she chose to live with her illness of ALS. Hart would not be grumpy and miserable after her diagnosis, but chose to be joyful and content with living her life in a wheelchair. She couldn’t be content without God in her life. The August luncheon will be held Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Praise Fellowship Church in Russell, with guest speaker Rachel Herr and music by Pamela Holmes. Those attending should bring a $1 brown bag surprise item for exchange. Lunch is $7. There are no dues nor membership. Christian Women supports Village Missions whose ministry trains pastors for placement in rural areas of the US which have no church at all or have lost their pastor as well as supporting missionaries serving in the field. Prendergast Library Offering Outdoor Dinosaur Dig Aug. 11

On Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 11:30 a.m. the Prendergast Library will be offering an Outdoor Dino Dig and Mud Prints activity for ages 12 and under. Break open a model dino-dig egg and see what dinosaur fossils are inside and make dino-prints in the yard to take home. There is no cost to attend this program. Registration is recommended as supplies may be limited by calling the library's Information Desk at 716-484-7135, ext. 2226. Library System Board To Meet Aug. 12 In Little Valley
