City School Board To Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, in the boardroom of the administration building, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Fenton Canteen To Be Held Saturday At Fenton History Center

The next Fenton Canteen will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Fenton History Center, 67 Washington St., Jamestown. Veterans of all ages are invited to join for coffee, cookies and camaraderie. Melvin Feather, a Vietnam veteran and Silver Star recipient, will share some of his experiences. Service dogs are welcome.

Ellicott Town Clerk's Office Closed Tuesday Morning

The Ellicott Town Clerk’s Office will be closed until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, while clerk's office employees attend a required training.

CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary does not meet in July. Its next meeting will be a pot-luck picnic at the post, Tuesday Aug. 11, at 6 p.m. with a short meeting to follow.

First Lutheran Community Store Schedules August Bag Sales

The First Lutheran Community Store will have a summer $3 clothing bag sale on Aug. 11, Aug. 13, Aug. 18 and Aug. 20 on the third floor of the church's Educational Building. Come in, fill a bag and help clear out the church's summer apparel. Enter the awning door to access the elevator. Clothing and houseware donations are accepted. Electronics are not accepted. The public is welcome.

Red Cross To Host Blood Drive Aug. 10 In Westfield

WESTFIELD – The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 10 at Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Falconer Village Board To Meet Aug. 10

FALCONER – The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at the Fire Exempts Hall, 3 Coleson Drive. There will be a work session prior to the board meeting at 5 p.m. for a presentation from Lew Crewson from Peak Development Partners. The public is welcome to attend.
