CHQ Professionals To Hold Coffee Meetup Aug. 6 In Bemus Point
BEMUS POINT – The CHQ Professionals Group will be hosting its sixth coffee meetup of the year the first week of August. Meetups provide a free and inclusive space for area professionals to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen community ties in a relaxed, casual setting, while also highlighting and supporting local business. Busti Historical Society Schedules Workshops In August, September
BUSTI – The Busti Historical Society invites all to learn about historic skills and crafts at upcoming workshops. August’s craft class on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. is beginner weaving, where those attending will learn the basics of weaving and make a small weaving project to take home. September’s craft class on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. and focuses on Beginner Naalbinding Coaster Making, also known as toothbrush rugs. Students will make a coaster or set of coasters from upcycled materials at the workshop to take home.
Gloria Marsh, Cody Hiller To Perform Aug. 9
Pianist Gloria Marsh and violinist Cody Hiller will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at First Covenant Church, 520 Spring St., Jamestown. The program will include Schumann's Violin Sonata in A minor as well as works by Czech composers Antonin Dvorak and Bedrich Smetana. Parking will be available on-site. The concert will have free admission with a freewill donation taken during intermission to support the musicians.
Clymer Cemetery Association To Meet Aug. 7
CLYMER – The Clymer Center Cemetery Association will meet at Smith’s Camp on 276 Allen Road, at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, to discuss the future direction of the Cemetery. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
