Lawson Center To Host 'Boat Shop' Open House Saturday
BEMUS POINT – The Lawson Center Museum in Bemus Point will host its first "Boat Shop" open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1 In conjunction with Lake Days in Bemus Point, the museum will be open free to the public. Members will be on hand to discuss boats that are presently being restored and answer any questions. The museum includes examples of wooden boats.
Bemus Point Historical Society To Host Yard Sale Saturday
BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Historical Society will hold a fundraising yard sale at the history museum on Alburtus Avenue in Bemus Point on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The money raised supports educational programming and high school awards given annually. The sale is donation-based.
Los Contrincantes Car Club Prepares For Back To School Giveaway

Mall To Host Blood Drives July 31, Aug. 6
LAKEWOOD – The Chautauqua Mall will host American Red Cross blood drives from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 31, from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 6, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 12. The mall is located at 318 E Fairmount Ave., Lakewood. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
