Veterans Memorial Bridge To Be Closed Overnight Wednesday, Friday
The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the bridge carrying Interstate 86 eastbound over Chautauqua Lake between North Harmony and Ellery will be closed between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, and Friday, July 24, as part of an ongoing rehabilitation project. Motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing state Route 394 and state Route 430.
Jamestown Municipal Band To Perform Today
The Jamestown Municipal Band continues its 2026 concert series at 7 p.m. today, July 22, at the Allen Park Bandshell. The Allen Park Women's Club concession stand will have hot dogs, pop corn and the club's fudge available for purchase as well as penny candies.
County IDA Meeting Scheduled For July 28 Canceled
The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency meeting that was originally scheduled for July 28 has been canceled due to a lack of agenda items.
County Parks Commission To Meet Thursday
FREWSBURG – The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will meet at Erlandson Overview Park in Frewsburg at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, for its monthly meeting. The public is welcome to attend.
The Resource Center To Host Blood Drive July 24
The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 24 at The Resource Center, 200 Dunham Ave. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver's license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
