Antique Equipment Association To Meet Today
LAONA – The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will hold its monthly meeting today, March 24, at 7 p.m. at The Laona Church. All members are encouraged to attend.
St. Luke’s Thrift Shop Open Wednesday Through Saturday
St.. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. Jamestown, will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All winter clothing and shoes in all departments will be buy one, get one for $1. Ladies’ purses are $2. All proceeds used for local outreach in the local community.
Outdoor Club To Hike Sunday
On Sunday, March 29, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club we will hike at Game Lands 29 at Chapman Dam. Those attending should meet at 1:30 p.m. at Musante Street or 2 p.m. at the Game Lands 29 parking lot past the sled riding hill at Chapman State Park. This will be a 4 to 5 mile hike on GL 29 with some uphill portions and some bush whacking. Greg Burkett will be the leader.
Busti Historical Society To Host ‘Show And Tell’
BUSTI – The Busti Historical Society’s next talk is a “Show and Tell” for all to participate in and learn about treasures neighbors and friends have from the past. Those attending can see if they can identify the mystery items or the mystery places in old photographs. Those attending are asked to bring an artifact, photograph or object to share with the group. The talk is Sunday, March 29, at 2 p.m. at the Busti Historical Society, 3443 Lawson Road, Jamestown. The talk will be in the meeting room in the Busti Museum room. East Randolph UMC Slates Holy Week Services
EAST RANDOLPH – The East Randolph Methodist Church will be celebrating Holy Week from March 29 through April 5. Services include a Palm Sunday service on March 29 at 10:15 a.m., a Maundy Thursday service on April 2 at 7 p.m., a Good Friday service on April 3 at 7 p.m., a Holy Saturday prayer walk titled “Walking With Jesus” on April 4 from 9 a.m. to noon and an Easter Sunday sunrise service in the church pavilion at 6:45 a.m. with breakfast at 7:30 a.m., Christian education at 9 a.m. and Resurrection Sunday service at 10:15 a.m. All are welcome to join.
Fist Lutheran To Host Guest Palm Sunday
The Rev Daniel K. Nagle will be the guest speaker at First Lutheran Church Jamestown on Sunday, March 29, at the 9 and 11 a.m. worship services, for Palm Sunday/Sunday of the Passion. Holy Communion will be celebrated. The choir will be singing “Palm Branches” by Jean-Baptiste Faure, arranged by W.F. Sudds, directed by Julie Costantini, and the guest organist will be Gail Espinoza. The public is welcome to attend. Between services at 10 a.m., the Sunday School will be observing Rally Day.
