Prendergast Library To Offer Spring Break Programs

The James Prendergast Library will offer extra programs during the upcoming school spring break. The Makerspace will be open every day from 10:30 a.m. through 5:30 p.m.

On Monday, April 6, the library will host its Makerspace Mondays focusing on PomPom Axolotls from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

On Tuesday, April 7, the library will host lapsit story time from 9:30 to 10 a.m. for pre-walking children, Tuesday story time for preschool students from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Minecraft Club for children ages 6 and up from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and Curiosity Club for those ages 14 and up from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, April 8, the library will offer sensory story time from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for pre-school and early elementary school children and Hot Wheels play from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. for children ages 6 and up.

Thursday, April 9, Minecraft Club will meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for children ages 6 and up. Friday, April 10, activities include a playgroup for toddlers up to age 3 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and a teen lounge from 4 to 6 p.m. for ages 14 and up.

Prendergast Library To Host April 7 Tween Tuesday

The James Prendergast Library will host its next Tween Tuesday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. April 7 . The program is intended for youth ages 10-13.

Prendergast Library To Host ‘Meet And Make’ April 9

The James Prendergast Library will host its next Meet & Make session at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, focused on UV resin design. UV resin design involves creating small resin objects like jewelry, bookmarks, and keycaps. On Wednesday, April 22, at 5:30 p.m., the Prendergast Library will be offering Meet & Make: Needle

Felting, using specialized barbed needles to interlock wool fibers, creating 3D sculptures, shapes, or 2D designs. There is no cost to attend the programs, which will be held in the library’s front lobby.

Teens and adults ages 14 and up are invited to attend. Registration is recommended due to limited supplies; walk-ins are available as supplies last.
