Sons Of American Revolution To Meet Saturday
SATURDAY – The Chautauqua County Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will be meeting on March 14, at 12:30 p.m. at the Stockton Hotel. The meeting will be an update on the Pomeroy foundation marker programs scheduled for 2026, and an update on the America 250 planning, particularly the History Expo scheduled for Aug. 2 in Mayville. All members are encouraged to attend, as well as prospective members and those interested in American and Chautauqua County history.
Holy Apostle Choir To Perform Special Music
The Holy Apostles Choir will perform special music Sunday in honor of Saint Patrick at the 11 a.m. mass at Saints Peter and Paul Church. The choir will sing prelude music prior to the beginning of mass and will also sing special arrangements of Irish music throughout mass. The Altar and Rosary Society is sponsoring coffee and donuts after mass in the church hall. All are welcome to attend.
Panama School Board To Gather
PANAMA – The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, March 16, in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.
Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers To Meet Tuesday
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, at the Lakewood American Legion Post 1286. All seniors age 55 and over are welcome to attend a meeting and consider joining the group. Annual dues are $10.
JLDC Cancels March 18 Meeting
Due to a lack of agenda items, the monthly meeting of the Jamestown Local Development Corporation scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, will be canceled. Cassadaga Valley School Board To Meet
SINCLAIRVILLE – The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board of Education will meet Wednesday, March 18, in the Cassadaga Valley Middle High School Multi-Purpose Room and via Zoom. A budget workshop will begin at 5 p.m. with the regular meeting starting once the workshop is over. The public is welcome to attend.
Genealogical Society To Meet
CASSADAGA — The Chautauqua County Genealogical Society will hold the first business meeting of 2026 at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 at the Cassadaga American Legion Post 1280, 228 Maple Ave. At 6:30, a memorial program will be held for member and friend Wayne Leamer who passed away on Dec. 8, 2025. Leamer joined the Society in August of 1995. For the past 19 years he was the editor of “The Chautauqua Genealogist” and membership chairman.
