Bemus Point Library Board To Meet
BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Library board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the library. The public is welcome to attend.
Congressional Candidate Endorsed By Working Families
Aaron Gies, candidate for New York’s 23rd Congressional District, announced Monday that his campaign has been endorsed by the New York Working Families Party, a grassroots political organization dedicated to building a New York that works for working people. “The Working Families Party has been at the forefront of the fight for affordable housing, universal childcare, healthcare for all, and protecting immigrant communities from fear, trauma, and intimidation. These are the basics people expect from their government,” said Gies. “I’m honored to earn their endorsement and proud to stand alongside a movement fighting for a good life for all.”
County Health Board Meets March 19
MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Board of Health will hold its quarterly meeting on Thursday, March 19, at 6 p.m. in the HRC Building, fourth floor conference room, 7 N. Erie St., Mayville. Comments received from the public will be accepted as communications, and not read during privilege of the floor. Public comments at the meetings during the privilege of the floor must be made in person. Members of the public may view the meeting live via the Chautauqua County Health Department’s YouTube channel. Chautauqua Region Quilt Guild To Meet
BUSTI – The Chautauqua Region Quilt Guild will hold its first 2026 meeting Wednesday, March 11, at the Busti 5 Corners Community Church in Busti across from the Busti Fire Department. New officers for 2026 will be Faith Swanson, president; Virginia Vath, vice-president; Dawn Russell, secretary; and Carol Fiscus, treasurer. The program will be a show-and-share of projects completed since the November meeting. The group will do something different when members sign up to share by indicating how many projects will be shown and how many are donation quilts. Refreshments and social time are from 6 to 6:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. Visitors and new members are welcome.
