Holland Cemetery Association To Meet Today

CLYMER – The Holland Cemetery Association will hold its annual public meeting today, Jan. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the Clymer Fire Hall meeting room.

Reg Lenna To Show Films Wednesday, Saturday

The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts will show the films Ella McCay on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. and Wicked: For Good on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 4 p.m. In Ella McCay, an idealistic young woman juggles her family and work life in a comedy about the loved ones and how to survive them. Ella McCay is rated PG-13 and is 115 minutes long. Wicked: For Good is the conclusion of the untold story of the witches of Oz, Elphaba and Glinda, now estranged and living with the consequences of their choices. With their singular friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good.Wicked: For Good is rated PG and is 137 minutes long. Upcoming Movies at The Reg include Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons in the dark comedy Bugonia (Jan. 28 at 7 p.m.) and a special engagement showing of the historical war/legal drama Nuremberg (Jan. 30 at 6 p.m.) followed by a live conversation with the author of “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist – Jack El-Hai, presented in partnership with The Robert H. First Lutheran Church To Host Annual Meeting Jan. 25

First Lutheran Church will have one combined worship service on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. in the church nave. The Rev. Daniel K. Nagle will preach with both the Sacred Fire Praise Team and First Lutheran Choir providing worship music. There will be a luncheon following the service with the church’s annual meeting to follow. Prior to the 11 a.m. service, there will be a service of dedication for First House at 10 a.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Blood Drive Scheduled For Jan. 29 At UPMC Chautauqua

The Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, in the auditorium at UPMC Chautauqua, 207 Foote Ave., Jamestown. Those interested in donating blood can call 814-456-4206 to schedule an appointment. Appointments aren’t necessary but can reduce donors’ wait times. Community Blood Bank partners with hospitals in Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York to provide blood for patients in need. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good general health. Photo ID is also required. Prior to donating, donors should eat a solid meal and drink at least 18 ounces of water.

Randolph School To Meet Feb. 4

RANDOLPH – The Randolph Central School District Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, in the high school library. The public is welcome to attend.
