City Planning Commission To Meet Today

The Jamestown Planning Commission will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, in the police training room on the fourth floor of city hall. Public comments and questions can be forwarded to Jason Kulaszewski, city principal planner, at kulaszewski@jamestownny.gov. The public is welcome to attend.

Prendergast Library To Host Curiosity Club On Tuesday

Every Tuesday, the James Prendergast Library’s Curiosity Club invites teen and adult patrons to experience new

interests, enjoy light refreshments, and learn about activities Jamestown has to offer. For the last two weeks in January and the whole month of February, the library will host Curiosity Club: Yoga for All Bodies. Taught by Karen Hansen from Sukanya Burman dance and Heather Williamson of the Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene, everyone of all body types and all experience levels are invited to participate. Teens and adults (ages 14 and up) are welcome to attend. Curiosity Club: Yoga for All Bodies will run on Tuesdays, Jan. 20 and Jan. 27 and Feb. 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

City Local Development Corporation Board To Gather

The Jamestown Local Development Corporation board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 21 in the mayor’s fourth floor conference room in city hall. The public is welcome to attend.

Antique Car Club To Meet

FLUVANNA – The CLRAACA will have its monthly general meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the War Vets Recreation Club in Fluvanna. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Anyone with an interest in antique automobiles is welcome to attend.

Watts Flats UMC To Host Dinner

BLOCKVILLE – The Watts Flats United Methodist Church, 866 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, will be having a chicken and biscuit dinner with desserts from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21. The dinner will cost $10 with all proceeds to benefit the church.

Panama School Board Will Meet Thursday

PANAMA – The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.

Glogg Society Crowns 2025 Champion

BUSTI – In the 23rd annual glogg competition of The Busti Glogg Society, Eric Anderson of Jamestown retained his crown. Entries were judged on flavor, smoothness, and overall texture. The 24th competition is slated for Christmas 2026.
