Kiantone Church To Host Concert

KIANTONE – The choir of Kiantone Congregational Church, 646 Kiantone Road, will perform “Christmas: the Story of a Promise, a Baby, Love, a Star, and Joy-Jesus,” at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, led by choral director Betsy Dahlgren. Matthew Myers is the accompanist along with solos from Letty Smith, Sue Mitchener, Anthony Jenkins and Scott Axelson. Traditional homemade candy will be served. The public is welcomed.

City Church Sets Christmas Eve Service

Camp Street United Methodist Church, 110 Sanford Drive, Jamestown, will hold a Christmas Eve service beginning at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24. With a theme of “Lessons and Carols,” the message will be presented by Pastor John A. Jackson with Sharon Mesel as accompanist. The service is open to the public.

Library To Host Story Hour

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Library will host a nighttime story hour at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, featuring stories celebrating the holiday season. Children are invited to wear their pajamas. Those attending can craft a paper hot cocoa. Registration is required. Space is limited. Parents or caregivers must stay with children. The library will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Saturday, Dec. 27, in observance of the Christmas holiday. Reg Lenna To Show Film Friday

In the holiday-set comedy The Baltimorons, showing at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts, a newly sober man’s Christmas Eve dental emergency leads to an unexpected romance with his older dentist as they explore Baltimore together. The Baltimorons is rated R and is 100 minutes long. Upcoming Movies at The Reg include Brendan Fraser in the comedy-drama Rental Family (Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.), Leonardo DiCaprio in the black comedy One Battle After Another (Jan. 9 at 7 p.m.), Renate Reinsve, Elle Fanning and Stellan Skarsgård in the family drama Sentimental Value (Jan. 14 at 7 p.m.), the musical fantasy sequel Wicked: For Good (Jan. 24 at 4 p.m.), and a special engagement showing of the historical war/legal drama Nuremberg (Jan. 30 at 6 p.m.) followed by a live conversation with the author of “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist – Jack El-Hai, presented in partnership with The Robert H. Jackson Center. Tickets for most Movies at The Reg are $8 in-person at the box office and $10 online (reglenna.com) and by phone at 716-484-7070. Family showings are $7 in-person at the box office and $9 online and by phone. Special engagements are priced differently. The theater and box office at The Reg are located at 116 E. Third St., Jamestown. The box office is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and one hour before movies and events.

Thrift Shop Has Bills Items, Holiday Decor

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between E. 4th & E. 5th Streets, Jamestown, is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. All departments are well stocked and have warm clothing available. The shop also has vintage Buffalo Bills sweatshirts available as well as holiday clothing and decorations, with holiday decorations available for half-price. All proceeds are used for outreach in the community.
