COI Employees Raise Money For Food Pantries
Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. employees have donated a total of $2,600 to support eight local food pantries across Chautauqua County. Each pantry – including Chautauqua County Rural Ministry in Dunkirk, Twice Fed Food Pantry in Cherry Creek, Northside Food Pantry in Jamestown, Panama United Methodist Church, and food pantries in Sinclairville, Westfield, Mayville, and Forestville – received $325 to help provide food for community members in need. The donations come from COI’s employee “Donation Fridays” program, where staff contribute $2 each week to wear jeans to work.
County IDA Board To Meet Nov. 18
The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency board will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the BWB Building, second floor board room, 201 W. Third St., Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend. The meeting will also be live-streamed at www.youtube.com/@ChooseCHQ.
Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers To Meet Nov. 18
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 for its harvest dinner provided by the legion. Members are asked to bring in nonperishable food donations to be distributed to neighbors in need. The Nominating Committee will present its candidates for officers. The next monthly meeting will be held Tuesday, Dec. 16, at which time a group of students from Southwestern School will present a Christmas music program under the direction of Sue Huther.
City Planning Commission To Meet Nov. 18

KIANTONE – Prayer for the Christians in Nigeria will be held at Kiantone Congregational Church, 646 Kiantone Road, on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6: 30 pm. Those interested are welcome to attend.
County Health Board To Meet Nov. 20
MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Board of Health will hold its quarterly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Hall R. Clothier Building, fourth floor conference room, 7 N. Erie St., Mayville. Comments received from the public will be accepted as communications, and not read during privilege of the floor. Public comments at the meetings during the privilege of the floor must be made in person. Members of the public may view the meeting live via the Chautauqua County Health Department’s YouTube channel.
