Cassadaga American Legion Post 1280 Auxiliary To Meet Tuesday

The Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary will hold its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 6:30 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend. Dues for 2026 are due and can be paid at the meeting.

Cassadaga Valley School Board To Meet Wednesday

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12,. in the middle high school multi-purpose room. A facilities workshop/walk-through will be held prior to the meeting, at the Cassadaga Valley Middle/High School, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Quilt Guild To Meet Nov. 12

BUSTI – The Chautauqua Region Quilt Guild will meet Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Busti Five Corners Community Church, the former Busti Federated Church. The community sew time will begin at 1 p.m. The guild’s annual Harvest Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with attendees providing their own table service and serving ware for the dish they are providing for the meal. After dinner, the general meeting will be held which will include election of officers and a program by Doctor Martha Betts about quilt illness, diagnosis and treatment plan. Members are reminded to bring their pillowcases for Boys and Girls Club and donations of items and financial donations. Dues of $25 are due.

Audubon Admission Is Free On Veterans Day

In recognition of Veterans Day, Audubon Community Nature Center building admission is free on Tuesday, November 11, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Audubon’s newest educational display, an interactive exhibit about bees, is just one of many fun activities in the three-story Nature Center building. Children can go fishing in the indoor pond, climb through the indoor tree, and get up close and personal with live animals including turtles, toads, Hellbenders and more. And be sure to stop in the Blue Heron Gift Shop. Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4:30 p.m. Nature Center members and SNAP/EBT cardholders have free building admission daily. Building admission is also free every Sunday for non-Nature Center members.

BPU Announces Veterans’ Day Schedule

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities offices will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans’ Day. Garbage and recycling will be collected on the usual schedule. BPU Customer Service reopens for business at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12. Customers who need to pay bills after hours may do so online via My Account on the www.jamestownbpu.com home page. Payments by phone may be made at 661-1660, ext. 3. Customers may leave checks or money orders in drop-off boxes located at the BPU’s drop box in the utility parking lot, 92 Steele Street; outside City Hall on Tracy Plaza; and inside the vestibule of the Jamestown Police Department entrance on Second Street. For reports of trouble in all BPU Divisions at any time, customers may call 716-661-1640.
