Frewsburg School Board Reschedules Meeting To Nov. 10

FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Central School Board of Education has rescheduled its regular Nov. 13 board meeting to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the Robert H. Jackson Elementary School cafeteria. The public is welcome to attend.

County Legislature Committee To Gather Nov. 10

MAYVILLE – There will be a meeting of a special committee of the Chautauqua County Legislature on Monday, Nov. 10, at 5:45 p.m. In the Gerace Office Building, Room 331, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. Pursuant to Local Law 1-02, the committee of three legislators shall consider a proposed settlement of a claim.

Boys, Girls Club Open On Upcoming School Holidays

The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club will be open Monday, Nov. 10, and Tuesday, Nov. 11, for the two days off from school in the Jamestown Public School District. Youth hours will be noon to 5 p.m. both days with no evening program hours. Adult hours remain unchanged. Infant Toddler swim will take place on Monday as usual. All youth program areas will be open: gym, game room, clubhouse arcade, computer room and art room. Youth swimming will be from 2 to 4:15 p.m. Both lunch and a snack will be served daily. The days are free for members and $1 for non-members/partial pay members. Call the club with any questions at 716-664-2902. Hazeltine Public Library Author Series Continues Nov. 10

BUSTI – The fall author series at Hazeltine Public Library will conclude on Monday, Nov. 10, with Joe Ulrich. “This maybe a familiar name to many,” said Katie Smith, library director. “For 15 years he has written a monthly column for the magazine Silver. He has included a number of those columns in his book – ‘Barn Burners and Weed Whackers, an old guy’s Musings’ and will share excerpts from his latest book; an historical novel “Saboteurs Five” a story about Nazis who land on a NJ beach.” The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be held inside the library. The discussion is free and open to the public. The Hazeltine Public Library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Busti. Off-street parking is available and the library is ADA accessible. Elks Lodge To Serve Veterans’ Breakfast Nov. 11

Jamestown Elks 263 will, for the 107th year, be offering a free breakfast for veterans’ – breakfast will be served starting at 9 a.m. and will be served until after the veterans finish the ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park.
