Special Meeting Thursday

FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Middle School/High School Library, 26 Institute St., Frewsburg. It is anticipated the board will take action in open session and will then enter into executive session. There is no further anticipated action following the executive session. The public is welcome to attend.

Meet Nov. 5

RANDOLPH – The Randolph Central School District Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. in the Randolph High School Library. The public is welcome to attend.

City Zoning Board Of Appeals Cancels Nov. 5 Meeting

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Jamestown Zoning Board of Appeals for Nov. 5 has been cancelled due to a lack of agenda items.

Harmony Senior Citizens To

Meet Nov. 6

The Harmony Senior Citizens will meet at noon Nov. 6 at the Harmony Methodist Church for a Thanksgiving dinner provided by Sally Hagg. The cost is $12 and reservations are required. Hosts include Mary Lou Garfield, Cindy McIntyre and Carol Parnell.

Lakewood Library To Hold Book Sale Nov. 6-8

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Memorial Library will host a book sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, and a bag sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8. A sneak peek event will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Nov. 5 with $10 admission that includes early access to the sale and cider donuts.

Allen Cemetery Holding Annual Cleanup Nov. 8

The Allen Cemetery located on Willard Street Extension in Jamestown is holding the annual cleanup. It is tentatively scheduled for November 8 at 10 a.m. with a rain date of Nov. 15. The cleanup removes all decorations and annual flowers from the lots and any leaves that have fallen. Refreshments will be served.

r Club To Hike Sunday

Along North Country Trail

On Sunday, Nov. 7, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike out and back on the North Country Trail along Cherry Run. The woodland hike starts somewhat level along the creek and then ascends. Those attending should meet at Musante Street, Warren, at 1:10 p.m. or at the North Country Trailhead off of Route 948 south of Barnes at 1:45 p.m. Lee and Jim Reynolds will be the leaders for this activity.
