CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga American Legion Unit 1280 Auxiliary will be holding its annual vendor show, Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 228 Maple Avenue, Cassadaga. Light lunch options will be available.
Mayville Food Pantry Benefit
Is Oct. 25
MAYVILLE – A spaghetti dinner benefiting the Mayville Food Pantry will be hosted by and held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 93 S. Erie St., Mayville, on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. or until sold out. The cost of the dinner tickets is $15 each, with dine-in option or take-outs available upon request. Pre-sale tickets are available at the Mayville Food Pantry, located next door to the church at the Outreach Center off the back parking lot Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets can also be reserved by calling 716-581-5008 and leaving a message with the diner’s name and number of tickets needed. Those reserving tickets can pay for them when arriving at the dinner. The Mayville Food Pantry supplements the monthly food needs of those residing in the Chautauqua Lake Central School District.
Fluvanna Library To Host Craft Bazaar Oct. 25
FLUVANNA – The Fluvanna Free Library is accepting vendors for its upcoming Holiday Craft Bazaar to be held Saturday, Oct. 25. The cost is $20 per space. Interested vendors can apply in person by picking up an application at the library, online by downloading the application at fluvannalibrary.org/holiday-craft-bazaar or by emailing info@fluvannalibrary.org. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Early application is encouraged. Busti Mill To
Host Halloween Event Oct. 26
BUSTI – The Halloween Haunt at the Mill will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. Costumed guides and actors will lead guests through the 1839 Busti Mill and the 1849 miller’s house to hear spooky stories from the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. Refreshments and a Halloween craft will follow in the meeting room. This is a non-scary family friendly Halloween event. Tours start on the half hour. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Community Orchestra To Present Fall
Concert Oct. 26
On Sunday, Oct. 26, the Jamestown Area Community Orchestra will present its fall concert at First Covenant Church at 4 p.m. Conducted by John Cross, the orchestra’s selections include “Andrew Lloyd Webber: A Concert Celebration”, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”, Millenium”, an arrangement of Tchaikovsky’s “Russian Choral and Overture”, Nessun Dorma”, and the “James Bond Theme”. Admission is free with a free-will offering accepted. The orchestra consists of adult area musicians and selected high school seniors.
