Reg Lenna To Screen ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’
The Conjuring: Last Rites will be screened Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reunite for one last case as renowned, real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in a powerful and spine-chilling addition to the global box office-breaking franchise. The Conjuring: Last Rites is rated R and is 135 minutes long. The Reg Lenna will also screen Stephen King’s first-written novel, and Francis Lawrence, the visionary director of The Hunger Games franchise films, The Long Walk, (Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m The Long Walk is rated R and is 108 minutes long. Tickets for most Movies at The Reg are $8 in-person at the box office and $10 online at reglenna.com and by calling 716-484-7070. Family showings are $7 in-person at the box office and $9 online and by phone. Special engagements are priced differently. The box office is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and one hour before movies and events.
County Parks Commission Meets Thursday
The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Chautauqua County Airport – Jamestown conference room. The public is welcome to attend.
Veteran Memorial Bridge To Close Overnight Wednesday Through Friday
The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the bridge carrying Interstate 86 over Chautauqua Lake between North Harmony and Ellery will be closed to traffic at the following times to facilitate an ongoing rehabilitation project: Closures will take place from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, through Thursday, Oct. 23; 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, through 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, through 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. Motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Route 394 and Route 430.
Health Department To Host Rabies Clinic
GERRY – The Chautauqua County Health Department will host a rabies vaccination clinic from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Gerry Highway Department, 4675 Route 60, Gerry. Animals must be pre-registered to receive vaccinations. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats, and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older. Pre-registration is required and should be submitted online by visiting HealthyCHQ.com/Rabies and view the calendar for upcoming clinics. There are a limited number of spots available, so pet owners should pre-register online as soon as possible. Those who register but decide not to attend the event are asked to cancel their appointment so the spot is available for another pet. Appointments can be canceled via the confirmation email received after registering. Pet owners must bring previous rabies vaccination records for each animal receiving a shot to ensure proper and effective vaccination; clinic staff will confirm previous rabies vaccination records. All dogs must be on a leash. All cats and ferrets must be in individual carriers. Animal handlers will transport animals to the veterinarian for vaccination.
