Meet Today
MAYVILLE – The Mayville Library Board of Directors will meet on today, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. at the library. The public is welcome to attend.
Carroll Historical Society To
Meet Today
FREWSBURG – The Carroll Historical Society will be holding its two final monthly meetings of 2025. Today, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m., the group will meet at the Carroll Historical Society building behind the Carroll Town Hall to share stories, photos and memories about the Frewsburg School Fire of 1975. All are welcome to come help us assemble information for an upcoming display on this topic. All interested people are also asked to join the group at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, for a potluck dinner and to help fill a new time capsule that will be opened in 2075 for the town’s 250th anniversary.
Falconer To Hold NY Forward Meeting Monday
FALCONER – The Village of Falconer will host an informational meeting at 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, at the Falconer Public Library, 101 W. Main St., Falconer, to gather feedback on a $4.5 million NY Forward grant application. Falconer residents and business owners are encouraged to give feedback on the proposed NY Forward boundaries, projects, and vision statement.
City Planning Commission To Meet Tuesday
The Jamestown Planning Commission will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the police training room on the fourth floor of City Hall. Lakewood-Busti Golden-Agers To Meet Oct. 21
The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Lakewood American Legion Post 1286. This meeting is the group’s Hobo Dinner, provided by the legion. The members will also select individuals to be on the nominating committee. The next monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 18, which will be the Harvest Dinner. Members are reminded that payment for this dinner should be paid for at the October meeting.

Host Blood
Drive Oct. 22
CLYMER – Clymer Central School will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 22. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
