Watts Flats UMC To Host Fundraiser Dinner Oct. 15

WATTS FLATS – Watts Flats United Methodist Church, 866 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, Ashville, will be having a spaghetti dinner with desserts on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The dinner will cost $10 with all proceeds to benefit the church.

Mayville Senior Citizens To Gather Oct. 16

MAYVILLE – The Mayville Senior Citizens will meet Oct. 16 for a pot luck luncheon at the Mayville VFW at noon. Those attending should bring a dish to pass. Pat Cook and John Savage of the North Shore Band will be the entertainment. Members are asked to sign up for the Harvest Dinner.

I-86 Bridge To Close Overnight Wednesday Through Saturday

The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the bridge carrying Interstate 86 over Chautauqua Lake between North Harmony and Ellery will be closed in both directions from 3 to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, and then from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly beginning on the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 15, and continuing until Saturday morning, Oct. 18, to facilitate an ongoing rehabilitation project. Motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Route 394 and Route 430.
