Jamestown School Board To Meet Today

The Jamestown City School District Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. today, Sept. 23, in the administration building at 197 Martin Road. The public is welcome to attend.

Hall Sept. 24

State Sen. George Borrello, R-Sunset Bay, will host a town hall meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the Robert H. Jackson Center in Jamestown. The meeting is open to everyone with no registration required.

County Parks Commission To Meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at the Jamestown Airport. The public is welcome to attend.

Bethlehem Lutheran To Host Dinner Thursday

FALCONER – Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Falconer will host a takeout spaghetti dinner on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 4:30 until sold out. The price will be $10 for adults and $5 for children under 6. Dinner, bread, salad and dessert is included. To order ahead, phone 716-665-2102. The church is located at 20 N. Phetteplace St., Falconer. The proceeds will benefit the Mission Fund.

Food Donations

Customers and the community are encouraged to drop off food items through Thursday, Sept. 25, at Ed Shults Ford, Jamestown, to benefit the Salvation Army Food Bank. Ford Motor Company recently expanded its Ford Building Together community initiative to increase impact around the world while continuing to meet local needs. “At Ed Shults Ford, we believe our role extends far beyond selling vehicles; it’s about being a true partner in the community we serve,” said Ed Shults III, President. “For us, participating in this food drive is a reflection of our deep commitment to supporting the well-being of Jamestown, and ensuring no one goes hungry. Fluvanna Library Temporarily Closed Through Saturday

FLUVANNA – The Fluvanna Free Library will be temporarily closed to the public through Saturday, Sept. 27, to allow for necessary building updates and maintenance. During this time, all library services will be suspended, including access to the book drop. Patrons are asked to hold onto their materials until the library reopens. No late fees will be charged for items due during the closure period. The library is scheduled to reopen at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29.
