Christmas Child To Host Leader’s Workshop
Saturday
Operation Christmas Child, a children’s ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, will be holding a project leader’s workshop for anyone interested in learning more about packing Shoebox Gifts for children who are suffering around the world in places of war, poverty and disaster. The workshop will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 3 p.m., at Kidder Memorial Global Methodist Church, 385 S. Main St., Jamestown. One of the speakers will be Justin Thomas, who as a child received a Shoebox Gift. He said about the gift, “When I received my shoebox, I felt that Jesus loves me enough to use someone on the other side of the world to send me the school supplies I needed.”

Auxiliary Offering Food At Fall
Festival Saturday
BUSTI – The Busti Fire Department is hosting a fall festival Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Busti Firemen\’s Grounds on Lawson Road in Busti. There will be crafters and food trucks. The Busti Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary is selling chili, Italian sausage, hot dogs, walking tacos, nachos with cheese and a chicken barbecue. Barbecue tickets are available presale from any member for $15. Barbecues can be picked up at the Ladies\’ Auxiliary building at the grounds from 1 to 3 p.m. Tickets will also be available at the auxiliary building Saturday.
Fenton Canteen To Be Held

The next Fenton Canteen will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Fenton History Center, 67 Washington St, Jamestown. Veterans of all ages are welcome to join for coffee, cookies and camaraderie. Service dogs are welcome.
Panama School Board To Meet Monday
PANAMA – The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.

The Chautauqua County Health Department, in partnership with the Chautauqua County Humane Society and the towns of Ripley, French Creek, and Charlotte, will host four free rabies vaccination clinics throughout September. Dates are: 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 13 at the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown; 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Ripley Highway Department, 50 Ross St., Ripley; 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at the French Creek Highway Department, 10106 Ravlin Hill Road, Clymer; noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Company, 30 Main St., Sinclairville. Dogs, cats and ferrets three months of age and older are eligible for a vaccination.Visit HealthyCHQ.com/rabies to schedule an appointment. If unable to attend, please cancel via the confirmation email to open your spot to others. Bring prior vaccination records to determine if a pet is eligible for a three-year booster. All dogs must be on a leash. Cats and ferrets must be in individual carriers. Animal handlers will transport animals to the veterinarian for vaccination.
