SHERMAN – The Library Board of Trustees of the Minerva Library in Sherman will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 at Edmunds Park in Sherman. The meeting is open to the public.

Professionals Group To Host Coffee Meetup Sept. 4

LAKEWOOD – The CHQ Professionals Group will host a coffee meetup at Ryder Cup Coffee Shop, 28 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood, on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. There is no registration required and any and all professionals working in the Chautauqua region are invited to attend. The September coffee meetup is part of a series of monthly networking events that provide an opportunity for local professionals to connect and share details about their work.

Boys, Girls Club Open For Youth Hours Sept. 4

The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club will open for youth hours on Thursday, Sept. 4. The youth schedule will be Monday through Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. A snack and meal will be served each day. Homework help is available everyday from 3 to 6 p.m. The club offers two game rooms, a computer lab, an art room, a calming center and a gym in a safe, healthy environment. Swimming is available daily once the pool reopens Sept. 15. Family events are scheduled once per month on Saturdays beginning with the club’s annual Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 18 from noon to 2 p.m. Annual youth memberships are $25 per child. The club has some partial scholarships available to assist with the membership fee for those needing assistance. A membership form needs to be completed with updated information to attend the club.
