Bridge Closure Begins Today

County Bridge 995 on Dutch Hollow Road in Ellery, between Pancake Hill Road and Route 430, will be closed to all traffic starting today while the bridge is repaired. The closure is expected to last two weeks until the repairs are completed and the road is reopened. An offsite detour will be posted.

Busti Gazebo Concert Series Continues

BUSTI – The Rustic Ramblers, a traditional country music band, will perform at the Busti Gazebo Concert Series from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. Members of the band are Howard Buck of Fredonia on lead guitar and vocals; David Bailey of Hartfield on drums and vocals; Jim Lanphere of Fredonia on bass and vocals; and Gene Hilts of West Valley on steel guitar. Those attending are asked to bring lawn chairs for seating. Concerts are sponsored by the Busti Hamlet Development Association and the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

‘Wicked’ To Be Shown Friday In Westfield Park

WESTFIELD — As part of the Westfield Summer Recreation Program, “Wicked” will be shown as an outdoor movie at Moore Park at dusk on Friday. Residents are invited to bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Admission is free for everyone. Parents are reminded that children must be accompanied by an adult and always supervised. Moore Park is an enforced smoke, alcohol, and pet-free environment. In case of rain, the movie will be shown the next night at Moore Park. A concession stand will be provided by Westfield Memorial Hospital of the Allegheny Health Network, which is the main sponsor of this event. Other sponsors include: Betts Insurance Agency, Blue June Blooms, Bob Ducato (New York Life Insurance), Community Bank, Westfield Ag & Turf and Westfield Women’s Organization.
