To Hike Sunday
Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will kayak from the Dairy Delight in Warren to Starbrick on Sunday, Aug. 17. Those attending should meet at Dairy Delight, corner of Route 6 and Route 59, at 1 p.m. Kayakers must bring personal floatation devices and their kayak needs a registration sticker. Clymer Historical Society To Host Hot Rods And History Show Aug. 15
CLYMER – The Clymer Area Historical Society will hold a Hot Rods and History auto show fundraiser on Friday, Aug. 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Haverkamp Huis museum on Clymer-Corry Road. Those attending can see local rides and learn some automotive history of the Clymer area. Hot dogs, tacos and other refreshments will be available for a donation. In case of rain the show will move to Aug. 16.
Busti Historical Society To Host Grain Grinding Workshop

BUSTI – The Busti Historical Society is teaching about grinding grain at the Busti Mill on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event is free and will have children’s activities. The museum will be open, too. In addition, the society is holding a work day at the site of the Busti Apple Festival and volunteers are welcome to lend a hand. The work day will begin at 9 a.m. The Busti Historical Society is located at 3443 Lawson Road, Busti.

1963 Plans Reunion Sept. 7
The Jamestown High School Class of 1963 will hold a summer picnic at the YWCA Lake Lodge, 185 E Terrace Ave, Lakewood, on Sunday, Sept. 7. The event will begin at 3 and end around 7 p.m.
Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Reservations are required by Aug. 24 to Jackie Jackson at 716-640-9831.
Leon To Hold Town Picnic Aug. 16 At Fire Hall
LEON – The Leon Town Picnic will take place Saturday, Aug. 16. The day includes a pie baking contest with cash prizes. Those participating are asked to have their pie to the fire hall at 11:30 a.m. for judging. Those attending the picnic are asked to bring a dish to pass. Food will be served around 1 p.m. The picnic is free to Leon residents, both current and past.
