Section Of Van Buren Road, Pomfret, Closed Today

POMFRET – Construction crews will be working on County Road 73 (Van Buren Road), County Route 78, in Pomfret, between Farel Road and Chestnut Road. Work will take place on today. A detour will NOT be posted. This closure shall remain in effect until the end of the day or until the repairs are completed and closure signs are removed.

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop Open Wednesday Through Friday

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., Jamestown, has many half price or $1 clothing items on sale. The men’s jeans special is for this week only and is displayed on the first floor. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. All proceeds are used for outreach in the local community.

Busti Gazebo Concert Series Continues

BUSTI – The Busti Gazebo Concert Series presents Check 1,2,3 on Saturday, July 26. Concerts begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m. Bring a own lawn chair for seating. Check 1,2,3 is a Western New York trio that plays songs from the 1950s through current music. Concerts are sponsored by the Busti Hamlet Development Association and the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

Infinity Student Art Show Opens July 25 At Pearl City Clay House Gallery

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Inc. will present its annual juried student art show at the Pearl City Clay House.

An opening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 25, at the Pearl City Clay House Gallery, 220 E. Second St. The reception is free and open to the public. The exhibit features original works by Infinity student artists of all ages and skill levels, including sculpture, illustration, painting, and more. “Our students work hard all year to develop their skills and voices as artists,” said Shane Hawkins, Infinity executive director. “This exhibition is a celebration of their dedication and talent–and a chance for the community to experience the incredible range of work coming from our young artists.” The exhibit is open through Aug. 22 during regular Pearl City Clay House hours.
