Happy Days To Perform At Busti Concert Series
BUSTI – Happy Days will perform at the Busti Gazebo on Saturday, July 19. The concert will feature the sounds of the 1950s,1960s, and 1970s performed by Gabriel (Ross) Giuffre on the keyboard and Mary Giuffre on drums. The Giuffres reside in the Jamestown area for most of the year. They spend the winter months in Florida, where they stay busy entertaining throughout the season. Happy Days performs music of the Blues Brothers, Michael Jackson, Tom Jones, Tina Turner and more. Concert hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees should bring lawn chairs. Sponsors for the event are the Busti Hamlet Development Association and the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.
Cassadaga Library Told
Special Story Time Saturday
CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga branch of the Mary E. Seymour Memorial Free Library will hold a special superhero story time at 11 a.m. Saturday. Those attending will come up with a super hero and children will have the opportunity to create their own stories using the character. At the end of the exercise, the librarian will help the children share their stories and display copies at the library. This event is part of the library’s summer reading program. Bemus Point School Board To Meet Monday
BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Central School Board of Education will conduct a special board meeting on Monday, July 21, at 6 p.m. in the superintendent’s office located at 3980 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. The public is welcome to attend.
Fenton History Center To Host Walking Tour
Learn about the original industry in Jamestown on The Fenton History Center’s industrial history walking tour at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 26. starting at the Fenton History Center, 67 Washington St., Jamestown. The tour will be near the Chadakoin River and the early industrial area of downtown Jamestown. Walkers will learn about the woolen mills, the railroad, the sawmills and the people who made it happen. Tom Goodwill, Fenton History Center board president and historian, will lead the tour. The tour will begin and end at the Fenton History Center parking lot. The tour is 2 hours long. The fee is $12 for potential members and $8 for Fenton History Center members. Children up to age 18 are free with a paying adult, limit 2 children per adult.
