Panama Central School Alumni Gathering
Registration Accepted
PANAMA – Registration is open for the all-school Panama Central School Alumni Gathering on July 12, at Whittier Apple Farm, 1507 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, Watts Flats. The cost per person is $25, or if three or more tickets are purchased at the same time, $20 per ticket. The event is catered by Ashville General Store. The registration form is available on the Alumni of PCS Facebook page or by contacting Marie Crosby at 716-664-7445. Registrations were due by July 1.
Panama School Board To Meet
The Panama Central School Board of Education will hold a scheduled reorganization board meeting on Monday, July 7, at 6 p.m. in the Board Room. The meeting is open to the public.
JHS Class Of 1975 Plans 50th Reunion
The Jamestown High School Class of 1975 will celebrate its 50th reunion on Friday, Aug. 22, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoron. The cost is $75 per person. Organizers are currently seeking to contact as many classmates as possible. Those interested in attending are encouraged to email jamestownhsclassof1975@gmail.com for details. CHRIC Receives Federal Grant
U.S. Rep. Nick Langworthy, R-23, recently announced a $105,000 federal grant from NeighborWorks America to Arbor Housing and Development in Corning and the Chautauqua Home Rehabilitation and Improvement Corporation. The grant funding will catalyze efforts to lower the cost of housing and expand the nation’s housing supply, support vibrant economic opportunities, revitalize, and sustain neighborhoods to build stronger and safer communities, and create jobs in the region. “I’m proud to announce yet another NeighborWorks grant which will create jobs in our district while expanding housing supply in the area,” Langworthy said. “Affordable housing remains a huge hurdle for many that live in Western New York and the Southern Tier. I am excited to see these communities get funding to help provide relief for those who are experiencing housing uncertainty.”

60th Class Reunion Set
The Jamestown High School 1964 Class Reunion will take place Aug. 15-16. On Friday, Aug. 15 people will gather at 6 p.m. at Herman Kent 777 American Legion Post 26 Jackson Ave. Jamestown. Pizza and finger foods will be available. Cost is $15. On Saturday, Aug. 16, people will gather at 6 p.m. at Maplehurst Country Club and Golf Course, located at 1508 Big Tree Rd. Lakewood. There will be a full buffet. Cost is $40. Cash bar available both nights.Deadline for taking reservations is July 15.Checks can be made out to: JHS class of 1965.
