Panama School Board To Meet Tuesday

PANAMA – The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, in the board room. It is anticipated the board will go into executive session to discuss matters relating to the hiring of a new school superintendent. No action will be taken at this meeting.

CVCS Board Of Education To Meet Tuesday

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, for its reorganization and regular meeting in the middle-high school multi-purpose room. The public is welcome to attend.

BPU Announces Fourth of July Holiday Schedule

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities announces its schedule for the Fourth of July holiday. BPU Customer Service and offices will be closed on Friday, July 4. Garbage and recycling for July 4 will be delayed by one day to Saturday, July 5. The Yard Waste Site will be closed on July 5 to facilitate garbage and recycling collection that day. Recycling for the week of June 30-July 5 will be metal. Customers who need to pay bills after-hours may leave checks or money orders in drop-off boxes located at the top of the BPU’s “D” driveway, 92 Steele Street; outside City Hall on Tracy Plaza; and inside the vestibule of the Jamestown Police Department entrance on Second Street. Payments left after-hours should only be made by check or money order. Online payments for BPU bills may be made by clicking My Account on the BPU homepage at www.jamestownbpu.com. Payments by phone are accepted twenty-four hours a day at 716-661-1660, option 3. For reports of trouble in all BPU divisions, customers may call 661-1640 at all hours.

Cattaraugus Library System Hosting Road Trip Scavenger Hunt

The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System’s summer road trip is back. The free program is open to every community member in both counties, regardless of library card or usage status, encouraging visits to as many libraries as possible this summer. Libraries offer programs throughout the year, with each library having a unique feel and offerings. The road trip promotion ends Aug. 31. Visit any Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System library for a map of all the libraries. During visits get a stamp from the library. There will be small prizes for reaching a certain number of stops. Visit www.cclsny.org/ccls-road-trip for more information. New this year is an extra challenge of the Road Trip Bingo. Complete 25 library activities to earn an entry into a gift card drawing and a final prize. The road trip also includes a Day Adventure Pass to explore partner organizations around the area.

Christian Women To Meet July 8

RUSSELL – The Warren-Jamestown Christian Women Village Missions Country Partners will meet at noon Tuesday, July 8, at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell.
