Panama-Bear Lake Road Bridge Closed

12 Weeks

County Bridge 1020 on Panama-Bear Lake Road in the town of Harmony between Button Valley Road and Wilcox Road is closed to all traffic while the bridge is replaced. The closure will last about 12 weeks until the replacement is complete and the road is reopened. An offsite detour will be posted.

Fenton History Center To Host Military Tour

The Fenton History Center’s Military Tour at Lake View Cemetery is Saturday, June 28, at 1 and 2:30 p.m. The tours will be led by Barbara Cessna, Fenton History Center Vets Finding Vets coordinator and researcher. The tours begin at the cemetery office at the corner of Buffalo Street and Lakeview Avenue. The tour tells the stories of soldiers from The Civil War through World War II. Audubon Offers “Gender

Diversity” Walk Saturday,

June 28

On Saturday, June 28, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Miles Hilton will lead a “Gender Diversity in the Natural World” walk at the Audubon Community Nature Center. Hilton is an artist, writer, and software programmer, as well as an ACNC volunteer and board member. The walk is approximately one mile on flat ground. Remember to dress for the weather. Cassadaga

Concert Series Continues

CASSADAGA – The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will host its next summer concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 29, on the Floating Stage on Cassadaga Beach, Park Avenue. John Morse will be the opening act. Morse, a Portland native, attended the Crane School of Music and holds a degree in applied piano from the State University at Fredonia School of Music. From 5-7 p.m., Pedro and the Smooth Cats will perform. Lifeguards will be on duty if anyone cares to swim. Cassadaga Beach also has a playground, tetherball, beach volleyball, picnic tables and grills. Cassadaga Youth Sports will be selling hot dogs, chips and drinks or those attending can bring a cooler. Beach parking is limited, so if you are able and willing, park at the nearby church, library or fire hall. In case of inclement weather the performances will be held at the Cassadaga Fire Hall on 22 Mill St or the Cassadaga American Legion Post 1280 on 228 Maple Ave. Call 716-665-8855 for more information.
