Randolph FFA

To Host Drive Anything But

A Car Day

RANDOLPH – The Randolph FFA is hosting Drive Anything But A Car To School Day on Friday, June 6. In 2024 the event drew more than 35 drivers on vehicles that included dirt bikes, side by sides, golf carts, tractors and horses. The group will start at R&M Restaurant near Interstate 86 at 7:20 a.m. and will parade down Main Street to the school.

Thrift Shop

Open Saturday

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, Jamestown, will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Regular shopping hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The shop is well stocked with summer clothing for all, and small housewares. All proceeds are used for local outreach.

Suicide

Prevention Awareness Dice Run Is Saturday

WARREN – The sixth annual Suicide Prevention Awareness Dice Run will be held Saturday, June 7,. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 2101 Pennsylvania Avenue East, Warren. All proceeds from the ride, including rider and passenger fees, will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Western NY Chapter.

Tree Of Life Lutheran To Host Dinner Sunday

Tree of Life Lutheran Church, 825 Forest Ave., Jamestown, will hold a neighborhood sloppy joe dinner on Sunday, June 8, at 4:30 at the church. This dinner is free to the neighbors in the surrounding area of the church. For more information, call 716-488-4235.

Outdoor Club To Kayak Sunday Near Akeley

On Sunday, June 8, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will be kayaking on the Conewango River at Akeley. The group will meet at Musante Street at 1:30. Tom Patterson is the leader of this activity.

Dennis Webster To Speak To Ross Grange Monday

FALCONER – Dennis Webster, formerly of WJTN, will be the speaker at the June meeting of the Ross Grange. He will present “The Early Days of Radio in Jamestown.” The meeting takes place at 1 p.m. Monday, June 9, at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall in Falconer. Following his presentation light refreshments will be served. All interested are invited to attend.

Valley School Board To Meet

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Cassadaga Valley Central School District Board of Education will meet at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, in the Middle/High School Multi-Purpose Room. The public is welcome to attend.
