Meet Wednesday
At 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, the Randolph Historical Society will meet in the Randolph Municipal Building with Reggie Smith as its guest speaker. Smith will be presenting the history of the Blackwell A.M.E Zion Church, located in Jamestown. As always, the public is invited to attend and refreshments will be served.
Erickson Road, North Harmony, Closed To Traffic
Erickson Road in North Harmony between Randolph Road and Diffley Road will be closed to all traffic as county bridge 1056 is replaced. The closure is expected to last two weeks until repairs are complete and the road is reopened.
Randolph School Board To Hold Budget Hearing May 13
RANDOLPH – The Randolph Central School Board of Education will hold a public budget hearing on Tuesday, May 13, at 6 p.m. in the high school library. The hearing will be followed by a regular board meeting. The public is welcome to attend.
Falconer Library Board To Meet Thursday
FALCONER – The Falconer Public Library’s next board meeting will be at 8 a.m. Thursday, May 8, in the library, 101 W. Main St., Falconer. The public is welcome to attend.
Panama Cleanup Day Rescheduled For Saturday
PANAMA – Panama Cleanup Day has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 10, at 9 a.m. Volunteers will organize at the Panama Methodist Church and will travel the village streets and surrounding roads to gather and clean up trash and garbage that has accumulated in the ditches and road shoulders throughout the winter months. A limited number of community cleanup t-shirts will be given out free and there will be light refreshments and water available. Anyone is welcome to participate. Cassadaga Library To Host Women’s Health Event Saturday
CASSADAGA – The Seymour Libraries Cassadaga Branch will host a women’s health event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, with vendors, crafts and a free lecture in addition to normal library resources. At 10 a.m. the library will host a sound healing with Janine Chimea followed at 11 a.m. by award-winning photographer Celeste Elliott teaching how to take Instagram-worthy images with a cell phone. At noon the library will host a nutritional response testing with Jen Overfield of WNY Whole Body Health while, at 1 p.m., Hachidan Master Bill Matteson and Sensei Joe Los of Framily Martial Arts will host a women’s self-defense class.
