Lakewood Garage/Yard Sale Set

The Village of Lakewood will hold the annual garage/yard sales on Friday, May 30, 2025 and Saturday, May 31, 2025. Email the Clerk’s office at Sisson@lakewoodny.com or call (716)763-8557 to be added to the map (for distribution).

Allegheny Outdoor Club Plans Hikes

On Sunday, May 4, the Allegheny Outdoor Club and friends will hike at Long Point State Park. The hike is an easy to moderate hike of 3 miles. Those attending should meet at the Long Point State Park marina parking lot at 2 p.m. Bev Creed is the leader. On Sunday May 11, the Allegheny Outdoor Club and friends will be hiking on the Stony Hollow Trail on Selkirk Road between Grandvalley and Enterprise on an abandoned railroad grade along Caldwell Creek. The hike is an easy flat hike, out and back 1.7 miles each way. Those attending should meet at Musante Street, Warren, at 1 p.m. Tom Patterson is the leader of this activity.

CHPC To Host Free Advanced Care Planning Workshops

Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care is offering two free advanced care planning workshops to help community members prepare important medical documents and better understand their future care options. Workshops will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care’s Lakewood Office, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, and Thursday, May 8, at the Fredonia Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care office at 6 W. Main St., Fredonia. The walk-in events are open to the public and require no appointment. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with a registered nurse and receive guidance in completing their Health Care Proxy and Medical Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment forms. County Planning Board To Meet

MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Planning Board will hold its Capital Projects Review meetings on May 6 from 1 to 5 p.m. and May 20 from 1 to 5 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Legislative Chambers Room at the Gerace Office Building at 3 N Erie St., Mayville. Pine Valley To Host Spring Concert May 7

SOUTH DAYTON – The Elementary School Spring Band and Chorus Concert at Pine Valley Central School District is scheduled Wednesday, May 7, at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Myers Library To Host 1,000 Books Program

FREWSBURG – On Thursday, May 8, at 5:30 p.m. the library will host a party for those participating in the library’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program. Reservations are requested by stopping at the library.
