Panama School Board Slates Special Meeting Today
PANAMA- The Panama Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. today in the board room. It is anticipated the board will go into executive session to discuss matters relating to the hiring of a new school superintendent. The public is welcome to attend.

Noon Lenten
Service Today
The Rev. Mark E. Swanson, pastor of First Lutheran Church, will preside over and preach at the midweek noon-time Lenten Service at the First Lutheran Church at noon today. The Lenten services are sponsored by the Southwestern Conference Lutherans and will be held in the Memorial Chapel which is handicap accessible. The noon service will be followed by a soup, salad, and homemade pie luncheon in the church parlors for a nominal fee. The luncheon is sponsored by the First Lutheran Altar Society. The public is welcome to attend.
St. Luke’s Thrift Shop Open Wednesday Through Friday
St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, Jamestown, will have its $2 winter bag sale during open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 10 a.m. to noon Friday. All remaining ladies, men’s, and children’s clothing and books are included. The Houseware department will be closed for the sale. The shop will be closed for restocking until Wednesday, April 23, when spring clothing will be available. All proceeds are used in the local community.

Students’ Work On Display At Library In April
FALCONER – Art students in Aleida Foulk’s Advanced Art and Drawing and Painting classes at Falconer Central School are displaying their works at the Falconer Public Library, 101 W. Main St., Falconer, for the month of April.

Chautauqua Lake Sewer District Board To Meet
MAYVILLE – The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Carlson Center, Lakeside Park, Mayville. The meeting is open to the public.
Ross Grange To Meet April 14
FALCONER – The Ross Grange will meet at the Falcon’s Nest for a dish to share lunch at 12:30 p.m. April 14. Displays will be arranged in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Ross Grange. There will also be an an open house at the Falconer Public library from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 30. The public is encouraged to see many of the historical items the grange members have collected.
