Thule Lodge To Meet Thursday

The Thule Lodge is the Swedish organization of Jamestown. Its first meeting of the new year will be Thursday at noon at the Falcon’s Nest in Falconer. All members are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served following the business meeting. New members are welcome.

To Hike Sunday

On Sunday members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike at Anders Run. The hike will be a moderate 2 to 3 mile hike. The group will meet at 2 p.m. at the Anders Run Trailhead on Dunns Edey Road, Irvine, Pa. Linda and Earl Ross will be the leaders for the hike.

Lake View Cemetery will be conducting its annual spring cleanup. Lot owners should remove wreaths and any other items and decorations by Tuesday.

County Planning Board To Meet Tuesday

YMCA Offering Lifeguard

Certification Classes

The Jamestown YMCA will be offering two American Red Cross Pool Lifeguard certification classes at the Jamestown YMCA with classroom and pool sessions. Upon successful completion of the class students will be certified in ARC Pool Lifeguarding, CPR-Pro, AED and first aid. The first class offered will be during spring break April 14-17. Class will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The second class offered will be on Sundays in June (1,8,15,22) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each Sunday. On the first day students will take their pre-test, candidates must pass it to participate in the class. Each class day consists of classroom and water skills. To achieve certification: candidates must be 15 by the last day of class, complete all skills proficiently and pass (80%) written test. Potential students can register online at www.jamestownymca.org or in person at either Jamestown or Lakewood welcome centers by the first day of class. Pine Valley Holding Kindergarten Roundup May 20-21

SOUTH DAYTON – Pine Valley Central School will host universal pre-kindergarten roundup for children entering in the fall of 2025 on May 20-21.
