Lakewood Library To Host Audubon Animals Today
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Memorial Library will host the Audubon Community Nature Center’s animal ambassadors at 5 p.m. today. Learn about the reptiles and amphibians and their unique adaptations for finding food, shelter and staying safe. There will also be touchable items like shells and skulls. Some animals are touchable, while others are best observed from a distance.

UMC Cancels Chicken Dinner
A chicken and biscuit dinner planned for Wednesday at the Watts Flats United Methodist Church has been canceled because of sickness.
Mayville Senior Citizens To Meet Thursday
MAYVILLE – The Mayville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Thursday at the VFW in Mayville for a soup and sandwich luncheon. Those attending are asked to bring soup, sandwiches or a dish to pass along with their own place setting. Dues for 2025 are due. The speaker for Thursday’s meeting will be Rita Himes.
Antique Car Club Cancels February Meeting
The CLRAACA’s general meeting for February is cancelled. The group’s next meeting will be on Wednesday, March 19, at the War Vets Recreation Club in Fluvanna.

Meet Feb. 25
The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency board will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the BWB Building’s second floor board room, 201 W. Third St., Jamestown. The meeting is open to the public in person and will be streamed on YouTube and Zoom.

Women’s Club To Meet Feb. 25
LAKEWOOD – The Women’s Club of Lakewood will meet Feb. 25 featuring Kalee Halladay, founder and president of a nonprofit organization called Glass Half Full. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Chautauqua Federal Credit Union Community Training Center, 110 Mall Boulevard, Lakewood. Those attending should enter through the Training Center doors. The monthly meeting of the TEA Party Patriots will be on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. The possibility of a Department of Government Efficiency in New York state and the state’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection ACt will be discussed. The public is welcome to attend.
