Lakewood Library To Host Chat GPT Class Mondays
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Memorial Library will host Everyday AI sessions at 2 p.m. Mondays in December. The sessions will focus on ChatGPT, including the early beginnings of artificial intelligence, how it’s shaping the world and hands-on learning experiences where those attending will try out ChatGPT. The Lakewood Memorial Library is located at 12 W. Summit St., Lakewood.
P-J Columnist To Speak Monday At Hazeltine Library
BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library will host a reading and book signing at 6 p.m. Monday featuring Marcy O’Brien, a columnist whose work appears each Saturday in The Post-Journal. She will be reading, signing her book Rounding Third and answering questions about her writing process. O’Brien began writing late in life, calling writing her seventh career. She is a Massachusetts native who has worked for American Airlines, Alfred State College and as a fashion designer/interior designer and a small business owner. She won the 2023 Erma Bombeck Global Writing Competition and first prize in the National Society of Newspaper Columnists annual writing contest in the Lifestyle category. O’Brien lives in Warren and shares her home with her husband and Maine Coon cat. The signing and reading is free and open to the public. Sherman School Board To Meet Monday
SHERMAN – The Sherman Central School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday for its regular monthly meeting. The meeting will be held in-person in the school’s auditorium. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.
Chautauqua Mall to Host Blood Drives In December
LAKEWOOD – The Chautauqua Mall, 318 E. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, will host four American Red Cross blood drives in the coming weeks from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 9, Dec. 12, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
