Auxiliary To Host Meat Giveaway

FALCONER – The Henry Mosher Post 638 American Legion Auxiliary will host a meat giveaway at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the post. There will be extra drawings and a 50/50 giveaway. All money raised will benefit veterans. Karaoke to follow with DJ Jones. The public is welcome to attend.

To Hike Sunday

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike Sunday to the South rocks and Gardiner rocks. The hike is a moderate one. Those attending should meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Hatch Run Conservation parking lot on Hatch Run. Tom Patterson is leading the hike.

Route 62 To Close Monday In Poland

POLAND – U.S. Route 62 will be closed in the vicinity from Daily Hill Road to Church Street in Poland starting at 7 a.m. Monday to facilitate culvert replacements. The closure is expected to remain in place for three weeks. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.

FREWSBURG – A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be offered at Frewsburg High School on Monday, Oct. 21, from 5 to 10 p.m. The cost is $30. Pre-register by emailing rhair@frewsburgcsd.org – include a picture of the student’s permit – or by calling 716-569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, make sure to have the student’s permit on hand.

Pine Valley Class Of 2025 To Host Circus Oct. 21

SOUTH DAYTON – The Class of 2025 at Pine Valley Jr./Sr. High School is hosting Billy Martin’s Cole Circus All-Stars on Monday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the gym and the community is invited. Proceeds benefit the senior class of PVCS. Tickets cost $15 in advance for adults or $20 at the door. A coupon admitting up to two children age 12 or younger with a paid adult is available; printouts were sent home with elementary students.
