Lakewood Library Halloween Films Begin Tonight

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Memorial Library will host a three-night Haunt-A-Thon starting today with Five Nights At Freddy’s followed by Fun Size on Oct. 17 and BOO! A Madea Halloween on Friday. The film series is geared for youth ages 13 to 17.

Car Club To Host Meeting Today

FLUVANNA – The CLRAACA will have its monthly general meeting today (WEDNESDAY) at 7 p.m. at the War Vets Rec in Fluvanna. Anyone with an interest in antique automobiles are welcome to attend.

Portion Of South Work Street To Close Today

FALCONER – South Work Street in the town of Ellicott and village of Falconer between Elmwood Avenue and Allen Street will be closed to all traffic starting today while crews repair the deck on county bridge 1044. A detour will be posted. This closure shall remain in effect until the repairs are completed and said detour signs are removed.

Sinclairville Library To Host Hand Drumming Oct. 17

The Sinclairville Free Library invites families to a hand drumming program at the library on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m. Drums will be provided for this free event led by Nicole Zenns, Cassadaga Valley Central School music instructor. Information about upcoming library events is available at www.sinclairvillelibrary.org. The library will be closed on Monday to observe Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Prendergast Library Board To Meet Thursday

The Prendergast Library’s next Board of Trustees meeting will be held at the library on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. Board meetings are open to the public.

Prendergast Library To Host Movie Night

Oct. 18

The James Prendergast Library will host a free movie night at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, featuring the film Hotel Transylvania 2. There is no charge and no registration is required. The film will be shown in the library’s Fireplace Room.
