Revolution To Meet Saturday
STOCKTON – The Chautauqua Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will meet Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Stockton Hotel, Stockton. The Sons of the American Revolution is open to all male descendants of lineal descent from the original patriots who supported or served in the American Revolution. Prospective members are welcomed. Those attending Saturday will discuss patriot burial markers and the upcoming 200th anniversary of General Lafayette’s visit to Western New York.

Outdoor Club
To Hike, Ride Sunday
On Sunday, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes or hike on Knox Kane Rail trail going out and back about 7 miles. Those attending should meet at Musante Street in Warren at 1:30 p.m. or 2 p.m. at the trailhead on Route 6 across from Country Fair in Kane. Greg Burkett will be the leader for this activity.

Conservancy To Host Foliage Walk Sunday
ASHVILLE – The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will hold a guided fall foliage walk on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. The walk is free and open to the public and will be held at the David & Margaret Naetzker Preserve, 5036 Route 474, Ashville, a nearly entirely forested preserve with scattered areas of meadow habitat. The site has numerous mature oak, ash, white pine, and yellow birch trees as well as American chestnut, black cherry, and hickory trees. Club Open
Monday For Columbus Day
The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys and Girls Club will be open on the Columbus Day holiday Monday from noon to 5 p.m. The game rooms, gym, computer lab and art room will be open. Swimming will be offered from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Lunch and a snack will be served. Adult open hours remain 7 a.m. to noon. There will be adult water aerobics classes as usual. Ross Grange To Meet Monday
FALCONER – Julie Peterson will give a presentation about the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club at Monday’s meeting of the Ross Grange. Peterson is a Kennedy resident who has worked at the Boys and Girls Club for several years. A dish to share lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall in Falconer. Table service and beverages will be furnished. The business meeting will follow the program Details for the annual State Grange Annual Session will be shared, where Betty Wakefield will be a voting delegate from Falconer. Plans for the new grange year will also be addressed. All are welcome to attend.
Hazeltine Library Author Series Continues Monday
BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library will welcome Westfield resident Dr. Karla-la as its featured author on Monday. Karla-la writes books as transformative tales for children of every age and uses the term Adult Inner Child to illuminate this unconventional genre. Her stories cover topics ranging from the gift of dyslexia, creativity, grief, non verbal symbolic language and the stages of healing, growth, expansion and transformation. “The library is pleased to welcome Dr. Karla-la, author, poet and joy star to our continuing author series,” said library director Katie Smith. “She presents a genre we haven’t heard from and will appeal to a wide variety of people HPL has two of her publications available – Triggadora and Wanda the Wandering Westfield Wonder.” The program begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Building behind the library and is free and open to the public.
