Ferguson To Speak At

Hazeltine Library Author Series

BUSTI – Local author Sally Ferguson will be the featured speaker Monday at the Hazeltine Public Library Author Series. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Meetings are held in the Community Building behind the Hazeltine Public Library, 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Busti. For more information, call 716-487-1281. SUNY Fredonia Professor, Pianist To Perform

Tuesday

FREDONIA – Natasha Farny, State University at Fredonia School of Music professor, and guest pianist Kuang-Hao Huang will perform music by French composers on Tuesday. Featured in the 8 p.m. recital, in Juliet J. Rosch Recital Hall, will be compositions by Mel Bonis, Francis Poulenc and Camille Pepin. The recital is free and open to the public.

Cassadaga Valley School Board To Meet Wednesday

FALCONER – The Falconer Zoning Board meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Building Board Room, 101 W. Main St., Falconer, has been canceled.

Chautauqua Lake School Board To Meet Oct. 9

MAYVILLE – Members of the Chautauqua Lake Central School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, in the secondary library at the school. The public is welcome to attend.

Senior Council To Meet Oct. 10

LAKEWOOD – The United Senior Council of Chautauqua County’s next meeting is at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Lakewood American Legion building, 174 Chautauqua Ave. The speaker will be Janell Sluga who will explain and answer questions about important changes for Medicare for 2025. Maple Grove Cemetery Fall Cleanup Ends Oct. 15

FREWSBURG – Maple Grove Cemetery in Frewsburg is in the midst of its fall cleanup. All urns, pots and summer decorations should be removed by Oct. 15 or will be disposed of by the cemetery’s caretakers. Winter wreaths will be permitted from November to April.
