Red Cross To Host Blood Drive In Randolph Today

RANDOLPH – The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Today at the Randolph Fire Hall, 70 Main St., Randolph. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

County Planning Board To Meet Oct. 1

The Chautauqua County Planning Board will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the Chautauqua County-Jamestown Airport in the Terminal Building at 3163 Airport Drive, Jamestown. The Sunset Hill Cemetery Association announces its fall cleanup. Those who want to keep their flowers must remove them by Tuesday, Oct. 1. Any remaining flowers will be disposed of by the maintenance department.

FALCONER – All summer decorations in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer, must be removed by Oct. 1. Items remaining on Oct. 1 will be discarded.

Pine Valley Fine Arts Dept. To Hold Chicken BBQ

SOUTH DAYTON — A Weidner chicken barbecue fundraiser to benefit the Fine Arts Department of Pine Valley Central School will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 11 at the high school. The menu includes a half-chicken, macaroni and cheese, baby buttered spuds, roll and butter. The old gym will be open for those who want to sit down to eat. Tickets cost $15. Any middle/high school chorus students or mural club/high school art students have tickets available for purchase. Tickets will be sold at the art table during Outside Open House on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Tickets can also be purchased by emailing csengbusch@pval.org. The final day to buy tickets is Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Randolph School Board To Meet Oct. 2

RANDOLPH – The Randolph Central School District Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in the high school library. The public is welcome to attend.
