Red Cross

To Host Blood

Drive Thursday

LAKEWOOD – The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Chautauqua Mall, 318 E Fairmount Ave., Lakewood. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Kids On The Fly Meets Thursday

SINCLAIRVILLE – Country Kids on the Fly will meet at the Sinclairville Free Library, 15 Main St., on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Country Kids on the Fly is a free program for ages 8 and up to learn fly tying and fishing techniques. All tools and materials will be provided. Adults are welcome. Meet Thursday

LAKEWOOD – The Chautauqua Region Quilts of Valor group will be meeting Thursday, September 26 at 10 a.m. at Quilters’ Haven, 135 W Fairmount Ave., in the Jamestown Mattress Plaza. New members and participants are welcome. The group will also have a display and information available at the Chautauqua Region Quilt Guild’s Quilt Display at the Busti Federated Church on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kennedy Library To Host

70th Anniversary Sept. 28

KENNEDY – On Sept. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m., the Kennedy Free Library will host a celebration commemorating their 70th year in service. Appetizers and beverages will be available. This is a free event and open to the public. For questions call 716-267-4265.
