CVCS Board To Hold Facilities Walk-Through Today
SINCLAIRVILLE – A facilities walk-through workshop for the Board of Education of the Cassadaga Valley Central School District will be held today at 5:30 p.m. at Sinclairville Elementary and Thursday, Oct. 3 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cassadaga Middle/High School building.
Hazeltine Library Author Series Continues

BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library will host Paul Leone, local author, storyteller and ghost aficionado, on Monday as part of the library’s Author Series. Leone has been telling Chautauqua County stories for more than 25 years and he is the author of more than seven books set in Western New York. His satirical novel, The Gospel Truth, is set in the town of Busti. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Building and is free and open to everyone. Speak To TEA Party Patriots
Jack Cashill, author of the released book “The Untold Story of Ashley Babbit,” will be the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. He will share what hasn’t been told about her death on January 6. Also, members will give an update on defeating Proposition 1 on the Nov. 5 election ballot.

BUSTI – The September meeting of the Hazeltine Public Library trustees will be held on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Members of the public are welcome to attend. The library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road. For more information call 716-487-1281.
Sheriff’s Office Offers Hunters Education Class
RANDOLPH – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Hunter Safety education class for the gun portion only on the following dates and time: Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. The class will be held at the Randolph Rod & Gun Club, 4424 VanSlyke Road, Randolph. There is no fee. Participants must attend both days of instruction to receive a certificate. It is preferable that participants be at least 12 years of age. If a parent wants an 11-year-old to take the class, the parent must attend and sit with the child on both days. Class size will be limited to 35 students. Those attending must bring some form of identification such as a driver’s license, birth certificate, etc.; and a pen or pencil. They should also bring snacks, dinner and something to drink. Dinner is available within 15 minutes of class location also. Pre-registration is required. Students need to register at www.register-ed.com.
