FALCONER – The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the Fire Exempts Hall, 3 Coleson Drive, Falconer. The public is welcome to attend.
Christian Women To Meet Tuesday
WARREN – Jamestown-Warren Christian Women will meet at noon Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 907 Pennsylvania Ave. East, Warren. The speaker will be Joy Weidmaier of Experience Inc. ombudsman for senior rights. Music is by the Evertsen-Chamberlain family. Library To Host Early Literacy Programs
SINCLAIRVILLE – Baby Talk, the Sinclairville Free Library’s new early literacy program for children up to 2 years of age, begins sessions Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11 a.m. September’s topic is “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” teaching body awareness. October’s topic is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” teaching children about food. Children and their caregivers are invited to join Jessica Huling, library assistant,for songs, bounces, stories, read-alongs and play that helps babies gain the building blocks to early literacy. Registration is required. Child’s Play, the library’s early literacy program, begins today from 1 to 2 p.m. Today’s topic is “Hitting the Books: Back to School” with a crayon box paper craft. Future sessions focus on “School Readiness: What’s The Weather?” where children will make a weather wheel; “Letter Day: H” (H is for House); “Llama Llama Red Pajama” with a paper craft. Children ages two to preschool and their caregivers are invited to attend for stories, social play, crafts and songs. This is a time for children to play together while learning important skills. Historical Society To Meet Sept. 11
BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Historical Society Guest Speaker Series resumes at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Bemus Point Village Hall adjacent to the historical society’s museum on Alburtus Avenue, Bemus Point. Brenda Johnson will discuss the 13-month bicentennial celebration of Major General Lafayette’s return tour to America, which included multiple stops in Chautauqua CountyThe Bemus Point Historical Society Museum will be open prior to the lecture for touring beginning at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11.

Pre-Licensing Course Sept. 16
FREWSBURG – A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be offered at Frewsburg High School on Monday, Sept. 16, from 5 to 10 p.m. The cost is $30. Pre-register by emailing rhair@frewsburgcsd.org – include a picture of the student’s permit – or by calling 716-569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, make sure to have the student’s permit available.
