ASHVILLE – The Feed More of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church today from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, only proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required:Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti or is a client of the Ashville Pantry. Sewer Districts Board To Meet Aug. 29

Collection Delayed One Day Due To Labor Day Holiday

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day. Garbage and recycling will not be collected on that day. Due to the holiday, Monday’s regular garbage and recycling collection will be delayed until Tuesday. In the same way, Tuesday’s collection will be delayed until Wednesday; Wednesday’s collection will be moved to Thursday; Thursday’s collection will be moved to Friday; and Friday’s collection will be moved to Saturday, Sept. 7. The Yard Waste Site, 1001 Monroe Street, will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, even though it is the Labor Day holiday weekend. The site will be open as usual from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, but will be closed on Saturday, Sept. 7, to allow for Saturday garbage and recycling collection. Customers may call 716-661-1640 during non-business hours to report trouble for all BPU Divisions. During regular business hours, they may call BPU Customer Service at 716-661-1660.

Labor Day Garbage Pick-Up To Move To Wednesday In Falconer

FALCONER – Due to the Labor Day holiday, garbage pickup in the village of Falconer is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 4. Residents are asked to refrain from putting trash and articles to the curb until Tuesday evening.
